Black Walnut Bowl Blank BW436 3" x 6" x 7" 2.7 lbs. This is a very nice square-cut bowl blank of Black Walnut heartwood with sapwood along one edge. The color is a pleasant medium to dark brown with a very nice, gently-flowing grain pattern over most of the block. One edge has a bit of wane and a 2" band of lighter-brown sapwood. This piece has been air-dried to under 10% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or other flaws. |
