This is another very nice, long end-grain block of Texas Ebony. It is 100% dark brown, very attractive Texas Ebony heartwood. The grain varies from a gently linear pattern to a complex, undulating pattern (near end-bottom photo).
I see no cracks, checks or other significant flaws.
