| Sweet Gum Block SG-412 1.9" x 1.9" x 8.2" 0.7 lbs. Here's an attractive piece of lightly spalted Sweet Gum. The colors are a light brown with peach overtones. The spalting lines are deep brown. The grain is gently curved throughout. This piece has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. This block is discounted because of a long crack that you'll need to fill prior to use. I recommend a contrasting tone of resin, perhaps a black or colorful fill. There are also a few other small checks associated with a bit of flame figure on the annotated face.
