Mesquite Block M-1044 3" x 6" x 6" 3.3 lbs. This is a 6" bowl blank, about 3" tall. The color is the deep reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood, with a thin rim of sapwood along one edge The grain is burly and beautiful and will make for a striking project piece, most likely as a turned bowl. There is a small amount of sapwood and bark wane along one edge. I see no cracks, checks, or other concerns. |
