Mesquite Block M-1036 1.4" x 1.5" x 5" 0.5 lbs. This is a beautiful piece of Texas Mesquite, just the right size for a duck call or other small turning. The color is the deep reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood. The grain is quite burly and has some eye-catching swirls. It's lightly spalted. There is a small amount of bark in one corner that will turn off readily. I see no cracks, checks, or other concerns. |
