This is a quarter- to plain-sawn board of Huisache (sweet acacia).  It is the bright rosy/reddish-brown of Huisache heartwood. It is 100% heartwood with  no sapwood or bark.  It is rough-sawn. 

This piece has been air-dried to 8-10% moisture content.  There are superficial sawblade burn marks on the faces that will sand off easily.
