Black Walnut Board BW422 0.8" x 6" x 10.5" 1.2 lbs. This is a nice uniform board of S4S Texas-grown Black Walnut. It is all heartwood with a straight grain that's been cut slightly inclined to the long axis of the board, giving it diagonal grain on the faces . The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker-brown grain. This piece has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. I see no cracks or checks. There is one open knot that you may wish to fill. There is minor surface discoloration that will sand off. |
