This is another nice end-grain block of Black Cherry. It is entirely a light pinkish-brown heartwood with a very pleasing grain pattern. There is a single, very tight radial crack on one edge (center of the left edge, annotated face, top photo). It is associated with a small knot at its terminal point on the edge. It looks as if the crack and that knot will turn off completely as the blank is roughed to round.
I see no other cracks, checks or potential flaws.
